Senior DDI Architect

Solving system-wide technical challenges takes a talented team of professionals at Dell Technologies. Our IT Network Development team has several technology responsibilities. We formulate and implement tactical plans for networked systems, build and manage solutions for current and future development and handle troubleshooting as needed.

What you’ll achieve

As a Senior DDI Architect, you will work to deliver and deploy advanced DDI (DNS, DHCP and IP Address management) solutions in a large enterprise environment. While working with other network, and engineering teams, you will strive to provide a secure, stable, reliable, and fast DNS environment within Dell Technologies data centers, private and other public clouds.

You will:

  • Support multiple enterprise-wide DNS environments with split-view DNS name resolution

  • Support DHCP services across multiple sites and regions in Corporate, Manufacturing and Laboratory environments

  • Work with Global Domain registration vendors, Regional Internet Registries, and ISPs

  • Partner with other network and engineering teams to solution and design infrastructure for cloud and data center environments

  • Provide mentorship and direction to other associates on team

Essential Requirements

  • 12+ years related experience or equivalent skill; must include experience with cloud-based environments and large enterprise datacenters

  • Solid understanding of all layers of the OSI model and be able to diagnose complex networking issues with respect DNA, DHCP and application interactions

  • Strong knowledge of enterprise automation, network performance, network security, hardware/software, and dynamic routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP

  • Experience with Linux systems administration, platform deployment, DDI vendor platforms (Bluecat, Infoblox, VitalOIP), Domain Name System (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), BIND, and Active Directory

  • Exceptional communication skills; must be able to communicate ideas, designs, and solutions to key stakeholders with Dell and key customers

Desirable Requirements

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), preferably Routing and Switching

  • Demonstrable scripting experience in Bash, Perl, Python or Ansible
