What you’ll achieve
Connectivity/IoT is an asynchronous messaging system in which all communications are initiated from the customer side. With over 60K customers globally, we make a difference by managing critical customer infrastructure in near real time and without physical presence in data centers. As a Lead SRE Engineer, you will drive focused initiatives that improve operational efficiency and scalability of the platform and applications.
Operate & maintain high availability of software for multiple products running in a multi-region private cloud and data center environments
Provide full-stack diagnostics and determine root cause of internal problems; analyze operational performance to deliver improvements in critical maintenance related metrics & KPIs
Build tools and automation that eliminate work and reduce time it takes to resolve an issue
Setup and maintain cloud/non-cloud operations automation & tooling to monitor & maintain enterprise applications
Understand modern software security and secure software systems with DELL enterprise infrastructure

Knowledge of Linux OS, Networking, Load balancers, DNS, and TCP/IP
Experience in handling production outages and root cause analysis, hands-on operational experience in a high-volume or critical production service environment
Experience with Secure protocols like TLS and Vulnerability Management tools (Checkmarx, Blackduck, Qualys, Kenna, Whitehat)
Ability to create tools for infrastructure (IaaS and PaaS) management and automation
Knowledge of DevOps engineering practices, CI/CD toolsets (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab, Sonarqube, etc)
Ability to operate in environments subject to regulatory, compliance and risk-based security requirements
Comfortable with diverse technical problem sets across the tech stack
