Dell Consultant, Business Intelligence in Austin, Texas


  • Develop an understanding of the ESI business and its operations; Understand how ESI fits in the Dell EMC strategy

  • Develop knowledge of the key markets and customer workloads important to ESI

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to provide actionable data-driven insights that directly impact business operations

  • Research questions and investigate challenges across internal Dell systems and using external sources to support recommendations with facts

  • Communicate effectively to all levels of the organization being both transparent and handling sensitive information in an appropriate manner

  • Ability to develop automated reports and dashboards connecting meaningful operational metrics, financial data, and people metrics that both create business understanding and inform decision making

  • Ability to develop educated assumptions and new data points qualitatively from interviews with knowledge experts in the field


  • 10+ years of experience in driving analysis in Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering, or Product Management functional areas in technology or manufacturing organizations

  • Solid business acumen, critical thinking, and decision making skills

  • Strong skills in leading and executing cross-functional projects

  • Must have a pragmatic, hands-on style, and the ability to "think outside the box"

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to team members of all levels

  • Experienced at managing and delivering on time with multiple concurrent priorities

  • Must be a self-started capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Must have excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills; Knowledge of Clarizen, SQL, Tableau or other similar tools are a plus

  • Bachelor's Degree required
