What you’ll achieve

As a Sr. Consultant of Product Management responsible for partner enablement and planning you will be responsible for creating a cohesive partner strategy based on our MCSG vision for the portfolio, the various solutions on the market, viable partners which we should engage with more closely and a complete integration plan which helps to solidify the future direction with the partners that we select.This person will also be responsible for managing our VMW/MCSG relationship as well as the bulk of the planning and enablement for our Dell Technologies Unified Workspace solution.

You will:

  • Work closely with the MCSG leadership team and other critical stakeholders in engineering, CTO, services and sales to create a solid partner strategy that includes business, financial, technical, marketing and sales details.

  • Ensure alignment between Services and MCSG on all potential partnership as well as the resulting offers, including aaS and other future integrations with partners.

  • Assist in the creation of the Modern Compute Solutions Group strategy based on your knowledge of the market, our 3rd party partner capabilities and your understanding of our Services strategy.

  • Drive initiatives and ad-hoc projects as needed for the VP of Product Management

  • This role will also lead alignment and coordination activities with the Services organization as a liaison

  • Pursue primary and secondary research to create business case analyses of market adjacencies with respect to our current and future partners as well as any other market gaps that you uncover.

  • Ensure that the appropriate communication channels are maintained across teams.

  • Create and present value-added insights and solutions to meet business needs.

  • Demonstrate key leadership competencies for driving change, including complex problem solving, identification and mitigation of risks, leveraging talent strengths, building consensus or decision alignment, and utilizing key relationships to accomplish assigned outcomes.

Essential Requirements

  • 10+ yrs experience in Strategy or similar roles

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Highly motivated and desire to solve problems

  • A sense of ownership and focus on driving results

  • Critical thinking skills to synthesize complex information and develop theories to arrive at logical recommendations

  • Ability to think strategically and cross-divisional with a strong focus on achieving mutual outcomes balancing the needs of competing organization priorities

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience engaging executives and other stakeholders important in decision making

  • Demonstrated ability making data-driven business decisions

  • The ability to work well in a team environment and be capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with other staff, departments, and customers

  • Strong partner negotiation and business development skills

  • Understanding basic product management and product marketing best practices for the research and building of partner driven solutions

  • A passion for philanthropy as our team likes to give back as often as possible

Desirable Requirements

BA in Business, Economics or other related degree as well as industry experience, MBA a plus. Internal Dell experience and understanding of the Services organization a plus. Understanding of the VMW portfolio, Dell Technologies Unified Workspace and Dell’s Vendor and Partner negotiation best practices
