Product Management Consultant

What you’ll achieve

Dell Digital (IT) aaS/Cloud Enablement team is redefining how our customers will buy, operate and engage with technology products. We create new age Cloud native IT solutions for our Dell business which enables us to offer premier industry products and solutions in simple and cost-effective ways. As a Product Management Consultant in IT, you will drive a cross functional team to discover and deliver a single product that creates measurable value for the company and users. You will identify what the team should build next and why by extracting the best available information from business stakeholders, users, and industry benchmarking.

You will:

  • Be the single point of accountability for a product

  • Own the product supporting Dell's strategy, including business solution concepts, capabilities, product roadmap, business and product KPIs

  • Work with business partners to determine software requirements & system impacts

  • Define persona-based & customer-centric outcome-based roadmaps that align to key opportunities & strategic partnerships

  • Work with internal stakeholders, external customers & users to validate business; partner with engineers to drive alignment on those interests and ensure the development of key outcomes

  • Identify new growth areas, new technology and emerging product/ service opportunities.

  • Lead business case for optimizing existing products/ solutions and/or creating the next generation of products.

  • Create, implement and monitor plans for testing products/ solutions through beta releases or pilots.

  • Prioritize features and specifications, applying budget, timeline and other constraints.

  • Review product/ solution evaluation metrics from multiple sources and ensures they are incorporated in future versions.

Essential Requirements

  • 12+ years’ experience in an enterprise level product management/owner role

  • Ability to apply empathy-first and a “yes, and...” mindset to get things done

  • Advanced knowledge of aaS and Cloud subscription-based business models, processes and supporting enterprise software

  • Knowledge of data-driven design, human centered design, Agile and Lean startup principles

  • In-depth knowledge of large complex enterprise software systems to assess risk and coordinate timely delivery

  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, coordination and organizational skills

Desirable Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
