Role Overview: Assists in implementing fixes for performance issues. Assists with implementing computing architecture based on approved designs. Assists with problem resolutions that have been escalated. Participates on cross functional teams to assist in design IT infrastructure architecture. Strong understanding and competence in virtual computing environment. Utilizes technical knowledge in departmental efforts.
First line of support for all IT related requests via ticketing tool and emails. Also receive few phone calls.
Troubleshoots low-to-moderate technical problems within acceptable service levels, often with assistance from teammates
Communicates primarily within functional teams to provide problem resolution updates
Strives to understand and leverages technical and incident communication structure
Utilizes internal resources and teammates to investigate technology and comprehend procedures
Monitors and reacts to output from tools and monitoring systems and applies information to outages and process improvement projects
1+ Years of exp in working in IT industry monitoring and managing IT infrastructure components.
Knowledge on ITIL processes.
Knowledge of networking concepts (wired and wireless), protocols (TCP/IP and subnetting), VPN, and basic commands from the command prompt (ipconfig, tracert, etc.)
Ability to work with VMware vSphere / virtualization.
Understanding of NAS & SAN protocols (CIFS, NFS, IScsi, FC, Raids).
Data Backup and Recovery with Symantec Backup Exec or similar Enterprise Software.
Understanding of methodologies like ITIL, Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and SRE
Flexible to work in shifts 24x7 .
