Which Business Unit will you be working?
Network Engineering: Bringing open networking to the enterprise with Dell Networking solutions.
Dell’s vision of the new data centre networking model is an open ecosystem in which organizations can take their pick from innovative, industry-standard network applications, network operating systems and network hardware. In today’s data centre, rapid increases in virtualization, cloud deployments and big data analysis have created new challenges as organizations look to build IT infrastructures that meet today’s and tomorrow’s business demands. Open networking solutions enable IT managers to build an application-agnostic infrastructure and simplify data centre management with standard automation tools and standards-based open platforms. Organizations can leverage open-source tools and expertise to minimize costly engineering overhead and help reduce the time and effort required to design, provision and manage networks.
Candidate will be a senior member of the development group, working on software infrastructure development and maintaining existing code with regarding to networking components such as protocols, management interface, system infrastructure. The candidate is expected to work closely with the platform and protocol teams.
·Must have 18 to 25 years of experience in networking device related management.
·Good to have Patents for any open networking paradigms
·Need to have solid C programming experience and solid design skills.
·Knowledge of open networking paradigms and experience working with organizations promoting those is preferred
·Good in algorithms and Data structures.
·Good in IPCs, Memory Management, File Systems.
·Kernel development/debugging experience desirable but not mandatory.
·Experience working on 1G/10G Ethernet switch platforms.
·Understanding of layer 2, layer 3 networking.
· 18+ years of work experience in relevant field.
·BE/B.Tech with background in Computers, IT, ECE or with similar relevant background.
