Digital Forensics Technical Lead

Join us as a Digital Forensics Technical Lead on the eDiscovery, Forensics, and Investigations Team (eFI) in the United States to do the best work of your career.
What you’ll achieve
As the Digital Forensics Technical Lead, you will help drive improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of our eFI team by researching new forensics products and platforms, procedures, and techniques. Additionally, you may perform Incident Response forensic analysis during surge periods on high priority/profile incidents. This will include you performing deep-dive, incident response-oriented forensic analysis; collecting, examining, and properly preserving digital evidence from laptops, desktops, servers, and cloud assets; and collaborating with other cybersecurity groups to integrate your findings into the context of highly critical response cases.
Research the latest in digital forensic examination products focusing on forensic investigation/analysis, eDiscovery, insider risk, forensic laboratory management, etc.
Look into the latest forensic analysis techniques through research, collaborating with peers inside and outside of Dell, attending conferences, and keeping current on industry best practices
Create a Dell “Center of Excellence” cataloging best practices, procedures, and techniques across forensic investigation and eDiscovery domains, working with eFI Leaders and the eFI Laboratory Quality Manager to gain consensus on procedure and tool adoption
Work with eFI Leaders to procure demonstrations, proofs of concept, and functional installations of new tools and platforms
Develop software validation test plans and execute those plans to ensure software suitability for use by the investigation teams

Every Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here’s what we are looking for with this role:
5+ years of experience in a large organization performing Incident Response work and/or performing such work for large customers if coming from a consulting organization
8+ years of experience performing eDiscovery, forensic investigation, or internal investigations for a large organization
Solid understanding of Microsoft, Linux, and UNIX operating systems
Experience with EnCase, FTK, CyFIR, Nuix, or similar platforms
Strong communications skills with a demonstrated effectiveness in delivering work product to other teams or directly to customers
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, digital forensics, or similar field with 12+ years of experience; or equivalent combination of work experience/education
Experience in working in an ANAB/ASLCD accredited digital forensic laboratory
Experience in software quality assurance testing
One or more certifications (e.g. CFCE, CCE, EnCE, ACE, GCFA, or GNFA)
Experiencing mentoring, training, or teaching others complex technical topics in an accessible way
