Senior Security Officer - Dell Financial Services

Security and Resiliency Organization is seeking an experienced Security Officer to join our energetic and fast-paced environment focused on embedding security and resiliency strategy and supporting business growth.

What you'll achieve

The successful candidate will support the delivery information security services for Dell Bank and its European entities for the protection of the enterprise information assets. The scope of responsibility will include governance, technology, and strategy, including policy development and oversight. The position requires an experienced security and risk practitioner with exceptional business acumen and technical knowledge and an ability to operate in a global fast-paced, dynamic environment acting as security risk subject matter expert for internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will be adaptable and forward-leaning, and always looking for ways to enable the business in a compliant, secure, and resilient manner.

You will:

  • Own and drive the implementation of the security strategy and maintain up to date knowledge of the threat landscape and regulatory environment as it relates to Financial Services.

  • Lead cross-functional governance forum and guide stakeholders in development and implementation of security controls ensuring that the business products are aligned with cybersecurity standards, policies and guidelines.

  • Collaborate with internal risk and compliance teams, IT program managers, and external auditors acting as a single point of contact for technology security, compliance and audit matters.

  • Drive security awareness to ensure secure security and resiliency is ingrained in all we do.

  • Orchestrate the provisioning of central global security and resiliency services to support business unit security objectives

  • Develop forward looking key risk indicators and metrics that drive business insights and decision making

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Risk Management, Information Systems, or a related field, and equivalent professional experience in Financial Services and Regulatory environments, experience in enterprise risk management

  • Practical experience in implementing an ISMS (ISO27001, NIST CSF)

  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing and shifting priorities

  • Ability to drive highly complex, cross-organizational initiatives through the influencing of and negotiation with stakeholders who at times may hold competing equities

  • Ability to confidently and effectively present complex technical topics to senior non-technical audiences

  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively as part of a larger matrixed organization, excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Results-driven and accountability-minded
