Our IT Security team supports our customers with security infrastructure design, operation and support. As well as planning and installing network security systems, we investigate vulnerabilities and incidents relating to firewalls and systems to provide a timely response to security alerts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Defines and implements information security strategies and procedure

  • Works with engineering teams to define and refine information security and systems management policies and settings

  • Monitors and assesses vendor and 3rd party information security reports/lists

  • Evaluates new and emerging products, technologies and make recommendations to leadership concerning introduction of new technologies

  • Reviews, prioritizes and recommends information security improvements as they relate to the achievement of Dell’s business goals and objectives

  • Coordinates, administers, manages and monitors the use of access control systems security tools and intrusion detection systems to identify anomalous events and security infractions that exploit system vulnerabilities

  • Integrates information security controls into an environment to identify risks and reduce their impact

  • Provides analysis of potential risk to information security and recommends solutions

  • Creates and maintains information security documentation

  • Communicates information security procedures to users

  • Reviews and recommends changes to information security policies

  • Designs, develops or recommends security systems solutions for protection of proprietary/confidential data and systems

  • Provide network infrastructure support (deploy and maintain network hardware) to the team when needed

Essential Requirements

  • IT security industry experience and an understanding of the associated technology risk

  • Experienced in end user security technologies like Antivirus, Device Encryptions, HOST IDS

  • Knowledge of log management tools, PKI etc.; Knowledge (router/switch)

  • Working knowledge of UNIX, LINUX and Microsoft technologies

  • Applied knowledge of risk management concepts

  • Expert knowledge of systems and network administration i.e. desktop, server

  • Thorough knowledge of the Globally Accepted Information Security Principles

  • Requires 4+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or 2+ years with a Master’s degree; or 1+years with a PhD; or equivalent experience

Desirable Requirements

  • Recent experience with Sonicwall and Palo Alto

  • Recent experience with Nexpose and Nmap

  • A certification in one or more of the following: Security+, CISSP, GIAC, SSCP or, CEH; Cisco Certified Network Associate, Checkpoint Cert.Sys.Admin and Checkpoint Cert.Sys.Engineer; Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP)
