5G Hardware Designer

If you’re interested in taking part in a once in a career opportunity, Dell is looking for a 5G Hardware Designer with expertise in 4G and 5G Radio development, to be part of a brand new, built from the ground up, high powered Ottawa R&D team. The team will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing a technology new to Dell for addressing the demands of the 5G Radio subsystem for operators and to help our customers to exploit this significant market evolution. The candidate for this role will have experience in 5G wireless hardware development, 4G R&D, mobile systems, and 3GPP as well as a background in collaboration with design and manufacturing teams related to development of Radio Hardware.
Write specifications, design, and verification of digital and RF circuits.
Execution of Design Verification Test plans.
Collaborate in board bring-up, data path bring-up, and performance optimization
Support the interface towards production
Essential Skills and Expertise/Experience
Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skill
Knowledgeable in digital, RF and clocking hardware design, DCDC power design.
Understand of SI and its mitigation technique.
Knowledgeable of PCB design technique. (Floor planning, Route planning, Constraint)
Knowledge in 4G and 5G Radio and/or subsystems architecture, implementation and ecosystem would be an asset.
Minimum Experience and Education
3+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Typically requires diversified experience in wireless product development.
