Role Summary

If you’re interested in taking part in a once in a career opportunity, Dell is looking for a Senior Hardware Designer with extensive experience in constraint creation to be part of a brand new, built from the ground up, high powered Ottawa R&D team.  The team will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing a technology new to Dell for addressing the demands of the 5G Radio subsystem for operators and to help our customers to exploit this significant market evolution. The candidate for this role will have significant work experience in creating constraints at the front end and back end of the HW design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create front end and back end design constraint radio board.

  • Write specification, design, and verification of the complete radio board

  • Collaborate in board bring-up, data path bring-up, and performance optimization

  • Become a Mentor for Junior Hardware Designers.

Essential Skills and Expertise/Experience

  • Good understand of SI and its mitigation technique.

  • In depth knowledge of PCB design technique. (Floor planning, Route planning, Constraint)

  • Hands on experience of High-Speed Serial links on a board level environment

  • Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills

  • Working knowledge in digital, RF and clocking hardware design, DCDC power design.

  • Hands-on technical skills and the demonstrated ability to work across functional areas

Experience and Education

5+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Typically requires diversified experience in wireless product development.
