Legal Counsel Consultant
Responsible for reviewing, negotiating, structuring, and/or administrating contractual documents that establish business relationships with customers and/or partners in relation to commercial contracts. Works with cross-functional organizations to structure and manage the contracting process. Advises the organization of contractual rights and obligations and provides an interpretation of terms and conditions.
Principal Accountabilities
Responsible for reviewing, negotiating, structuring and/or administrating contractual documents that enable business relationships with customers and/or suppliers.
Analyzes, develops, and administers contractual documents to ensure compliance to company policy, legal and regulatory requirements and customer and/or supplier specifications.
Provides contractual and commercial expertise, support and guidance in the development and negotiation of contracts, including risk assessment and alternate positions to support the offer.
Advises, or approves amendments to contract and/or commercial terms or contract extensions.
Advises internal functions of contractual rights and obligations.
Coordinates internal Dell resources to effectively complete the contract documents.
Provides post-negotiation support to facilitate effective execution of signed contract/agreement.
Analyzes, develops, and administers contractual documents to ensure compliance to company policy, legal and regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
Coordinates internal Dell resources to effectively address customer and/or supplier requirements.
Provides after sale support to facilitate effective execution of signed contract/agreement.
Coordinates internal Dell resources to effectively respond to customer’s and/or supplier's proposal requirements.
Identifies competitive advantages of company Terms and Conditions over competitor proposals.
Includes all necessary data for the customer and/or supplier to fully evaluate the offer. Increases sales efficiency and effectiveness.
Principal Responsibilities
Participates on negotiating teams to complete complex contracts
Handles post-negotiation support and coordination to ensure effective execution of complex contracts
Recommends the processes to monitor the implementation of the resultant contract provisions, and manages the customer dispute resolution process
Leads strategy teams to minimize contractual/commercial risk.
Creates new contracts processes and provides advice to regional functional teams on how to reach goals where internal structures do not exist
Provides guidance and consultant outside area of expertise (business guidance)
Leads global function regional teams on projects that will impact contracting process
Can support global projects Manages both tactical and strategic work streams relating to the regional and global business area of responsibility
Impacts value on business decisions that are beyond the contract function
Acts as lead negotiator for complex contracts
Leads regional and multinational contracts
Interfaces with the Customer and/or supplier at senior mgt levels
