The core responsibility of this role is to plan and execute DFS owned events in NA + drive integration of DFS in the Dell Technologies events that are regional business priorities in NA. This role strives to ensure a consistently superior customer experience across multiple event types.
This role owns the DFS NA Marketing events roadmap that is intended to maximize company exposure and produce sales leads. Roadmap planning will include determining support/coordination required to execute the DFS global events being executed in NA
Become an active (extended) member of the EBC event marketing team, acting as the liaison between the Dell Technologies EBC team & DFS regional marketing. Supports DFS NA sales by consulting on, and integrating DFS content in the briefing agendas and coordinating sales participation in customer, prospect, and partner EBC briefings for NA
Consults with internal clients and customers to plan and execute NA customer engagements. Manages multiple workstreams for these customer engagements and is responsible for DFS’ regional event budget. Budget & reporting responsibility includes: Proposes budgets and forecasts personal travel, compiles summaries of total event costs, cost-per-contact, audience profiles, and recording/archiving attendee comments
Researches regional venues and recommends event sites. Investigates, selects, negotiates and manages services with vendors including catering and event support
Arranges space, event marcom, hotels, equipment rental, and delivery, set up and dismantling of the exhibit
Coordinates logistics via automation and vendor relationships (including facility, exhibit set-up, equipment and catering requirements)
Owns the marketing & sales interlock planning process & delivering the business priorities into the DFS global planning cycle
Actively engage with the DFS global marketing teams to ensure alignment with DFS’ global marketing plan to ensure seamless execution at local level
Tracks projects, manages vendor activities, conducts vendor research, and recommends / develops new vendor relationships
Event types include but not limited to: DFS Hospitality (key market & key accounts), Dell Multi-customer briefings (MCB), Dell EBC, Dell Tech Connect / Solution showcase, Dell Tech Forum, Dell Tier 2 vertical events (FED. HCLS, Edu), etc.
Comfortable working with and influencing both executives and C-level customers
Executive presence, influencing skills and advanced communication skills
Demonstrate strategic thinking, creative thinking, and marketing thought leadership
Working knowledge of the company’s portfolio of products, services and solutions to best position the engagement for success
Ability to work with teams in a complex matrix environment, with remote teams, and to cope with change and ambiguity in a rapidly moving competitive environment
10+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work
