The Software Engineering team delivers next-generation software application enhancements and new products for a changing world. Working at the cutting edge, we design and develop software for platforms, peripherals, applications and diagnostics — all with the most advanced technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and the collaboration of internal and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create advanced, innovative and top-notch technology solutions that enable security for mission critical systems at Dell; develop a future-state technical architecture vision, aligned to the business strategy, and transition states to achieve that technology vision.

  • Drive Application Architecture to align and define strategies across teams including Security, Infrastructure, Networking, Governance, DevOps, and Support

  • Lead POC and integration design across both internal and externally supported products; build out technical demonstrations for service patterns, integration efforts, and modern coding practices.

  • Long-term strategic responsibility for the company's IT systems, including reducing total cost of ownership, modernizing the architecture, and innovation to support the business. ​

  • ​Partner with development teams across the functional areas to prioritize capabilities, drive architectural standards and governance, and support key strategic initiatives; work with program managers identifying issues / risks and required mitigation to ensure delivery of end-to-end strategic design

  • Connect with the scrum teams across the org to clarify business and technical capability needs and investigate dependencies

  • Review technical artifacts to meet industry standards; own and drive technical and functional improvements across platform/applications

  • Management of the risks associated with information and IT assets through appropriate standards and security policies. ​

  • Build strong relationships with business stakeholders, technology leaders, architects and developers; develop and communicate a vision for the company’s strategy and technology with business and technology leaders.

  • Publish technical whitepapers and architecture documentations on standards, guidelines, and lead innovation; successfully communicate conceptual ideas and design rationale to executive stakeholders and the development team

Essential Requirements

  • 15+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelor’s degree; or 12+ years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 8+ years experience; or equivalent experience with strong technical experience in managing highly-complex projects independently that cross multiple business units, divisions, functions, and regions

  • Strong understanding and hands-on with .Net Core, ASP .NET MVC, ASP.NET Web API, .NET Framework, C#. SQL Server, Angular 4 and above, JavaScript, JQuery, ASP .NET Core web API

  • Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking, design and architecture

  • Strong hands on with HTML5, CSS, Object Oriented JavaScript programming

  • Ability to think about business in a way that is abstracted from how business functions are implemented by technology

  • Hands-on experience designing and implementing reusable components in C#, Razor, KnockOut and Angular 6 and above

  • Experience in cloud architecture (preferably Pivotal Cloud Foundry), knowledge of creating micro services in .NET core and deployment concepts (blue, green deployment, A/B deployment)

  • Proficient in

  • Code versioning tools GIT, etc.

  • CI/CD, Build pipeline: E.g. Gitlab CI, Octopus, TeamCity, Jenkins2

  • Repository management: e.g. archiva, artifactory

  • SonarQube or other static analysis tool

  • Good working Experience using a range of open source libraries and frameworks including Gulp, Bower, etc.

  • Experience in Database design principles, query tuning in SQL Server 2012/ 2014/ 2016

  • Knowledge of NoSQL DB like Mongo DB, TypeScript, Graph databases

Desirable Requirements

  • Design thinking which enables synthesizing of many ideas into big-picture view that shows the connection between business intention and development

  • Must possess great leadership skills and be a self-less team player.

  • Deep domain knowledge and experience in Identity and web application security

  • Exposure to AI/ML

  • Experience with Containers and Micro Services platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes (Pivotal Cloud Foundry)

  • Monitoring e.g., Riverbed, New Relic, AppDynamics

  • Experience with distributed logging and tracing, ELK, Zipkin or Splunk
