Dell Supply Chain Software Senior Engineer in Singapore, Singapore

Role and Responsibilities

  • Develop new applications, and enhance existing components for the applications, using Java/Angular/.net and other technologies.

  • Keep up to date on latest software development technologies and methodologies; Drive or contribute to development standards as necessary

  • Provide production support to operational staff on key issues as need arises and during release of new software

  • Design user interaction models, workflows and user interfaces; Integrate internal and external product design into a cohesive user experience

  • Successfully communicating conceptual ideas and design rationale; Be able to setup and execute CICD; Ensure smooth functioning of our development, QA, production and staging environments

Essential requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

  • Experience in large design and development efforts involving project teams of 5 or more members

  • Should have hands on experience in minimum two below technical stacks.

  • Java, Java Spring Boot, Micro services,.net core

  • HTML5/CSS 3.0, AngularJS,

  • Rabbit MQ. Kafka, Stream Sets NOSQL DB - Mongo DB, Cassandra etc,

  • In MEM cache DB(redis/memsql)

  • Pivotal Cloud Foundry or any Cloud Technology

  • Tableau, Power BI Hadoop, HDFS, Spark

  • Data Science: AI/ML, R, Python

  • Mobile - Android/Ios developers (Lower priority)

  • Automated Testing, DevOps - CI/CD

  • Should have experience in Cloud technology like Azure, AWS etc.

  • Should be hands on in data base design and data modelling experience using PL/SQL

Desirable Requirements

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering high volume and high availability transactional applications under tight time constraints.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities; Ability to communicate design rationale and build consensus

  • Ability to prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment; Ability to develop innovative approaches to complex design problems

  • Must be organized, have an eye for detail, and be able to put ideas into a tangible form

  • Candidate should be able to work in global development environment and take up leadership in providing the technology solution.
