Undergraduate Intern - Software Engineer (Display Engineering)

Our Software Engineers (Display Engineering) are responsible for the software design and development for external customer products. They utilize a range of applicable technologies (e.g., cloud development operations, agile technologies, programming languages, compilers, assemblers, debuggers, other tools) for product lines, modify existing software products to add new functions, adapt to new hardware or software environments, improve performance or enhance product usability. They also Participate in product development in all stages from planning and design to development, testing and documentation, and lead the design of new technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops the software engineering schedule and prototype build plan in coordination with the engineering extended teams and Core Team.

  • Identifies software design requirements and makes recommendations for capacity planning, performance optimization and future direction. Designs solutions per business requirements.

  • Troubleshoots software reliability and performance issues.

  • Identifies and eliminates performance bottlenecks and makes performance-related recommendations (hardware, software, configuration).

  • Participates in the software development lifecycle, which includes research, new development, modification, security, correction of errors, reuse, re-engineering and maintenance of software products.

Essential Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a University degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or Computer Science

  • Candidates with prior experience in LCD panel/monitor/TV development will have advantage

  • Able to communicate clearly (e.g. project issues and status)

  • Accurate and detail oriented (e.g. accurately logs project schedule, defects, and other data into the appropriate databases)
