When your products transform the way we live and work, nothing can be left to chance. Our Test Engineering team takes charge of the testing, evaluation and validation of all our devices. We’re a team of expert engineers responsible for the development of all test cases and test tools to ensure the functionality and compatibility of our products. We’re involved in the whole testing process from preparing test and diagnostic programs to recommending changes in testing equipment procedures and designing new testing equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Focus on activities in Define, Plan, Implement, Launch, and Sustain Phases

  • Drive test strategy implementation, issue analysis, DOE, and lead validation technical investigations and training

  • Influence engineering effort and drive rigor for validation

  • Own test plan creation and overall plan execution

  • Review vendor test cases and gap analysis

  • Technology training and dissemination

  • Cross functional dissemination for portfolio/generational test strategy

  • Create product family test plan & review family test plan

  • Create product specific test plan & review product specific test plan

  • Critical issue debugging and root cause analysis

  • Design of experiments for individual platforms or for families

  • Oversight, tracking, and assessment/analysis of cross functional efforts (CiT, Workshops, CSLP, etc.)

  • Test tool investigations and methodology recommendations (evolution during implementation)

  • Platform family deep dive representation for technical issues as requested

  • Collect and analyze failure data from various groups (Quality, Reliability, Validation, lessons learned, Service, Repair Centers, etc.)

Essential Requirements

  • Engineering diligence and rigor

  • SME on at least one area of interest – ME, EE, SW

  • Can debug and troubleshoot platform level HW and SW issues

  • More than 8 years of industry experience in the area of focus

  • Minimum BS in engineering discipline (ME/EE/SW/etc.)

  • Can demonstrate strong engineering, root cause analysis, and debugging skills

Desirable Requirements

  • Bachelor, Master or Ph.D degree

  • 8+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • Excellent understanding of hardware and software system architecture

  • Excellent understanding of hardware and software interactions, and able to apply this understanding to resolve issues

  • Ability to coach and mentor junior team members

  • Solid understanding of the market and business environment

  • Ability to lead strategic initiatives
