Dell Senior Analyst, Supply Chain in Texas

Everything in Dell is ground-breaking, from the designers of our products to the developers of our supply systems. Our Supply Chain team within Materials and Purchasing drives the development, implementation and management of supply chain operations and suppliers in the delivery of strategic programs. It’s all about managing supplier relationships and ensuring the availability of parts and services in the supply chain, while maintaining inventory at acceptable levels. We focus our resources on the continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes and establishing key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning and forecasting.
Role
Participates in the global supply chain procedures to assure material continuity and achieve high standards of operational excellence
Works to align internal workflow and supplier demand
Ensures product availability to MRP demand
Responsibilities
Establishes new fulfillment processes with new suppliers and new locations based on business requirements
Provides resolutions to an assortment of problems moderately complex in scope Uses judgment within defined practices and procedures
Contributes to the fulfillment of projects and organizational objectives
Primarily intra-organizational with occasional inter-organizational and external customer contacts on routine matters
Requirements
Bachelor's degree and 2 years professional work experience or Master's degree preferably in Ops/Supply Chain or Business
Proficient in Excel
Negotiation, supply chain and supplier management skills
Supplier evaluation and contract development skills
Price and cost analysis skills
Preferences
Market research and trend analysis skills
Component level supply chain analysis skills
