What you’ll achieve

An Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Transformation Consultant is a mix of many different skills and a rare find in the industry. It requires a change agent mentality, combined with a technical background. Most likely you have been working in a technical role in the past, but are now operating in a role where you take a meta perspective, looking at things from a more abstract level with the aim to continuously improve and to design solutions which optimize the way a business works.

You will

  • Run the IaC workstream, interacting with the customer to prioritize backlogs, gaining feedback, continuously improving the process and helping co-ordinate the IaC engineering team using Agile and Lean practices.

  • Be an an “uber Scrum Master” with an understanding of many different agile techniques and a high level of communication skills – equipped to take the customer on the journey to IaC.

  • Engage in Consulting activities with the customer at all levels, employing pragmatism and conflict resolution in order to navigate the anxiety and politics involved when changing deeply ingrained processes and skills.

  • Be a true transformational change agent and be instrumental in helping the customer transform to Lean processes and practices.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience managing large-scale, enterprise transformation projects using agile management techniques such as Scrum and Kanban, and helping customers to use new concepts such as Agile, Lean, CI/CD and DevOps.

  • A passion for fostering team spirit and collaboration, and developing high performing, empowered teams with a clear purpose - this may include coaching teams and customers on Agile and Lean guidelines if needed.

  • Ability to guide and support the customer through their IaC transformation journey, including the ability to run effective workshops that engage the customer, gather requirements, and drive solutions. The ability to effectively socialize ideas and concepts in a clear and concise manner to the customer and any other stakeholders involved is also important.

  • Customer focused, able to build relationships, gain trust, and build consensus between stake holders, critical listening skills.

  • Verbal and written proficiency in English and French

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience of actual software application delivery using CI/CD & DevOps approaches

  • Experience of Operating Model transformation, including SRE/DevOps Operating Model
